French e-commerce Veepee opens an Innovation Lab in Barcelona 

The leading French e-commerce Veepee continues to bet on the Catalan capital with the opening of an international Innovation Lab. The online fashion company, which consolidated its presence in Spain with the acquisition of the Barcelona-based Privalia in 2016, strengthens its position in the city of Barcelona with this new opening. 

 

The new Innovation Lab will be launched this 2022 with the main goal of attracting young talent and develop new projects that improve the purchasing process and customer experience, with initiatives linked to augmented reality, the machine learning, process optimization and supply chain.  

 

«Innovation at Veepee is basic, as it is part of our DNA,» explains Jean Phillipe, the company’s Director of Innovation. «In addition, having a new Innovation Lab in Spain is essential to be closer to the local team and provide a better response to their needs.» 

 

The new Lab will train young people and guarantee access to qualified professionals to cover the vacancies that are generated on a recurring basis in its innovation department. 

 

The group currently operates in ten countries and has diversified from the textile sector to many others, such as home, decoration, leisure, beauty, travel and gastronomy. Currently it employs around 6,000 people (1,000 employees operate from Spain) and with an active portfolio of 66 million users.
