Websummit Barcelona & Partners

Barcelona & Partners is heading to top tech event Web Summit in Lisbon

Barcelona & Partners will be present at the world-leading Web Summit in Lisbon 1-4 November, among 70,000 participants that include founders, CEOs, high-profile investors, disruptive startups, experts in every field, policymakers, and world leaders as they join together to discuss the future of tech. Web Summit is a company that hosts several events throughout the year, including Collision in Toronto and RISE in Hong Kong, but its crowning achievement is the Lisbon edition each November. The current edition will feature more than 25 onstage content tracks touching every industry, where more than 30 tech-related topics will be discussed.

During the event, Barcelona & Partners will be looking to maximise networking and learning opportunities that abound with over 900 speakers, leading international companies, investors, and proprietary software for better results. Events like Web Summit help Barcelona & Partners to solidify the city of Barcelona as a leading destination for tech companies, and to continue to attract top international talent.

Fortune described Web Summit as “the World Cup of Tech”, with a few highlights being this year’s keynote speakers Changpeng Zhao, CEO at Binance, the cryptocurrency giant, and Nathan Biecharczyk, Chief Strategy Officer at Airbnb, alongside iconic philosopher Noam Chomsky. With over 400 talks and discussions, Web Summit will allow Barcelona & Partners to be on the cutting-edge of knowledge within the tech sector. For instance, these talks will include interventions from Rohit Prasad, Head Scientist of Alexa Amazon or Nick Thompson, CEO at The Atlantic amongst others.

The Venture track is described as the nexus of the global investor ecosystem, with insiders who are fully aware of the future of investment. Web Summit draws the world’s largest funds and Barcelona & Partners will play its part in continuing to attract talent and investment to the city of Barcelona.
