Barcelona prepares for the IoT Solutions World Congress

Once again, Barcelona is placing itself at the heart of global innovation by hosting the IoT Solutions World Congress (IOTSWC), the leading international event dedicated to the Internet of Things (IoT) and its impact on industry and society. The event gathers global tech leaders, disruptors, startups, and policymakers to explore how connected technologies are reshaping industries, driving digital transformation, and unlocking new opportunities for sustainable growth. 

This year, the congress invites its attendees to “Connect to the next level” and join the disruptive technologies transforming industries. From May 13–15, 2025, the event will be held at Fira de Gran Via – Barcelona, uniting 11,000 visitors from around the globe offering dynamic networking and access to pioneering solutions and ideas.

Apart from IoT, the event addresses innovations in AI, Renewable Energy, 5G Technology, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Augmented Reality and more. This year, predictions include 100 sessions, 150 speakers, and almost 400 exhibitors. Last year – 70% of attendees were decision makers.

Digital Infrastructures. Future Outlook Side Event 

Barcelona and Partners has co-organised the side event “Digital Infrastructures. Future Outlook”, to engage with key industry players to discuss the challenges and future of digital infrastructure. It aims to promote collaboration, share insights, and explore innovative solutions that can drive the industry forward. 

The event will be held at Hall 8 on May 14th, from 10:00 to 14:00, and will feature a distinguished lineup of panellists who are experts and leaders in their respective fields. These panellists will lead discussions, share their insights, and provide valuable perspectives on a wide range of areas, including sustainability, IoT technologies, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies. A networking coffee break will take place.

Themes include: 

  • Digital Infrastructure – Now & Next: Keynotes and panels on the current landscape and future trends in digital infrastructure, with a European focus.
  • Sustainability: Exploring eco-friendly practices and technologies that minimize the environmental impact of digital systems.
  • Efficiency & IoT: How IoT technologies are driving efficiency and productivity across sectors.
  • Success Stories: Real-world case studies and best practices from leading companies.
  • Regulatory Navigation: Practical guidance on understanding and meeting digital infrastructure regulations.
